John Honeyman, the American negotiator from the play A Walk in the Woods, is nearly thirty years later remarried and semi-retired in the Hudson Valley. Ultra- conservative Senator Will Branch, John’s son by his first marriage, brings wife Gwynn for a confrontation over the current Presidential campaign. The increasingly radioactive differences in American politics (and American families?) are underscored in this sometimes humorous, often excoriating examination of who we are becoming.
